Stuart Shils - Gallery Talk - October 15

A slide talk presenting paintings and drawings made by past and modern masters will be given by American artist, Stuart Shils, Thursday, October 15, 2009 at 7 p.m. at the Gallery on the Green. The talk is tilted "The Perception of Nature and the Nature of Perception." This event is sponsored by the Maxwell Shepherd Memorial Arts Fund,Inc and is free to gallery members and guests. Please bring a folding chair or cushion.

Stuart Shils studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and the Philadelphia College of Art. He is the recipient of a Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant, A National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship and a Ballingten Arts Foundation Fellowship for Residency in Ballycastle, Ireland. He is represented by galleries in New York City, Boston, San Francisco and Philadelphia.
